Put back the padding the airlines took out. The AirRow Cushion is an engineered air-cell seat cushion that takes the pressure off your tailbone and sit bones on flights, road trips, and anywhere hard seats exist. Under a pound. Inflated in about 30 seconds with the included hand pump. Folds flat and straps to your bag.

Pressure off your tailbone
Air cells spread your weight instead of letting one spot take it all.
Packs to paperback size
Under a pound. It disappears into your carry-on.
Hand pump included
About 30 seconds on the hand pump. No blowing it up in the terminal.
Dial your firmness
Let air out until the seat feels right for you.
The part nobody says out loud
It wasn’t your body. It was the seat.

You are not imagining it — the seat really did get worse. Airline seat pitch has shrunk from roughly 34 to 35 inches in the 1990s to as little as 28 to 31 inches today, and seat padding has thinned as cabins chase lighter planes. That part is documented. The part you already know is how it feels to land: a sore tailbone, stiff hips, numb legs, a lower-back ache.

AirRow exists because the seat is not getting better. So you bring your own.

Softens brutal hard seats instantly — planes, cars, bleachers, benches
Weight spread across the whole grid of air cells instead of two pressure points
Stays cooler than foam — air moves, it does not trap heat
Never pancakes flat the way memory foam does on a long sit
Deflates and folds flat in under a minute

How it works
The same idea clinical seating has used for decades, sized for seat 23C

High-end pressure-relief seating does not use foam. It uses interconnected air cells: dozens of small chambers that shift air as you shift, so your weight spreads across the whole surface instead of stacking on your tailbone. Cushions built on this principle for clinical use run $300 and up.

The AirRow Cushion brings that same air-cell architecture to travel: an interconnected grid of air cells, a soft brushed top, and an included hand pump, sized to a standard economy seat pan and priced like a carry-on accessory.

AirRow is a comfort product, not a medical device. It does not treat or cure anything.

What to expect
From the box to day 60
1
At your door
Cushion, hand pump and strap, plus any free gifts if you ordered a bundle. Unbox, take 30 seconds to inflate, sit on a kitchen chair. You will feel the difference between air cells and wood immediately.
2
First flight
Pump it up at the gate or in your seat. Start fuller, then let air out until you settle in. Most people land noticing what did not happen: the numb legs, the sore tailbone, the shifting every five minutes.
3
First month
It stops being a travel item. The car seat. The stadium. The desk chair. This is why the Duo and the Set exist.
4
Day 60
If it has not made your trips better, send it back. Full refund. That is the deal.
Three steps, about a minute
How to use it
1
UNPACK
Unfold it and lay it on your seat.
2
PUMP
Squeeze the hand pump about 30 to 40 times, roughly 30 seconds. Done before the safety briefing.
3
TUNE
Sit, then crack the valve to release air until your seat feels right. Firmer is not better. Tuned is better.

Specs describe the unit we build to. Individual production batches can vary slightly and we update this list rather than round it in our favour.

Fit
Yes, it fits. The seat and the bag.

Inflated, AirRow sits within a standard economy seat pan at about 16.5 inches, so it does not spill into your neighbour’s space or shove you into the tray table. If your knees ride high, release a little air and drop your height half an inch.

Deflated, it rolls to about the size of a packed rain jacket and folds flat under the included strap. TSA-fine, overhead-bin irrelevant, personal-item friendly.

Our promise
The 60-Day Better-Flight Guarantee

AirRow launched this month, so there are no customer reviews here yet. That is exactly why the guarantee is the whole promise rather than a footnote.

Order it. Fly with it. Drive with it. If you do not come home saying your seat was the least of your problems, email us within 60 days for a full refund. We will even tell you how to fold it flat again.

Questions
Before you buy
QWill it leak like a pool float?
No, different construction entirely. The chambers are PU with a Lycra face, sealed at the seams and closed with a locking valve — not the thin single-wall vinyl a pool float uses.
QDoes it actually fit an airplane seat?
Yes. Inflated it is about 16.5 inches across, the width of a standard economy seat pan. If you want a lower profile under the tray table, release a little air.
QAm I going to look weird pulling this out?
You will look like the person who has done this before. Dark fabric top, no donut hole, no medical anything. Flight crews sit on thin jumpseats all day. A padded seat kit is a very frequent-flyer move.
QHow long does inflation take?
About 30 seconds on the hand pump, 30 to 40 squeezes. Do it at the gate or in your seat. Deflating is faster: open the valve, roll it up, done.
QMemory foam did nothing for me. Why would this be different?
Foam compresses. Sit on it for three hours and it is a warm pancake. Air cells cannot pancake, the air just moves. You also cannot tune foam. You can let air out of AirRow until it is exactly your firmness.
QIs this a medical device?
No. AirRow is a comfort product. It does not treat or cure anything. It takes pressure off the parts of you that hate hard seats. If you have a medical condition, that is a conversation for your doctor, not a cushion company.
QCan I use it off the plane?
That is half the point. Car seats, stadium bleachers, campervans, office chairs, the folding chairs at your kid’s tournament. Wherever the seat is hard and the sit is long.
QWhat exactly comes with my order?
Every order: the cushion, its hand pump and securing strap, free U.S. shipping, and the 60-day guarantee. Want more than one? The Travel Duo is two cushions plus two contoured sleep masks free, and The Frequent Flyer Set is three cushions plus the masks, a two-pack of luggage tags and travel earplugs.
